Oluyomi Ejiwunmi "My Legend" June 30, 2008

Uncle Tola, all my life I looked at you and admired you for all that you were - a perfect gentleman, brilliant, intelligent, full of wisdom. You were my role model and always desired to be the kind of lawyer you were and possibly a judge.

Uncle Tola you lived your life for other people and always put in your best in all you set your hand to do.

"Ka bi o kosi" we really cannot ask God or question him for allowing the curtain to drop at this time. With much pain in my heart I can only look to Him and say thank you for saving my dear Uncles' heart. Those you left behind will carry on your great legacy. Till we meet again. Adieu!!!

Dayo Ejiwunmi IRONICAL June 30, 2008

Bro Tola, you laboured hard for others - Government, Friends, Church and Family. You also played hard with others - at school, in the neighbourhood, at work from Ibadan through Lagos to Abuja - making friends, being available with created time and limited resources.

And you believed rightly and solidly at the right time - unafraid and unashamed to acknowledge Jesus to friend and family with respect and gentleness.

How come then that at your time of need, no-one was there to work for you or play with you or believe with you? And Daddy also looked away and allowed darkness to cover the land - repeating the old irony that we may remember you because of Him - Your Lord Jesus Christ. HE will bring to a perfect end all the good things He enabled you to do or initiate.

Bukola Ejiwunmi Tribute to my beloved brother June 30, 2008

On Wednesday 18th June, I woke up feeling very sad. This deep sadness persisted that I had to share it with my husband and also at the women's fellowship in our church on the evening of Friday the 20th. When I could not understand the sadness, I started singing praises. I did not know that it was a premonition of the demise of my wonderful Brother-in-law. Brother you were always there for me. On my 60th birthday you stayed and stayed with us. Even at the last family meeting we had in your house you played your role as the head of the family exceedingly well. That was the last time we spoke. Indeee, you have impacted all our lives and the vacuum you have created will be very difficult to fill. I rejoice in the fact that you knew the Lord and that you are resting in His bosom.

Rest on then till we meet to part no more. The Lord will keep the family you have left behind intact. He will be father to your children and husband to your wife. All your aspirations over your children will be fulfilled in Jesus Name.

Honourable Justice of a Great Nation,

I had wondered why you were in such a hurry to leave this world but I think that my answer is now clear - to exit this corrupt place as quickly as you can in order to avoid getting the evils of corruption on your Angelic Soul.

Rest in the perfect peace of the Trinity.

Adieu

'Dolapo Adesanmi A great Mentor June 27, 2008
I remember the last conversation I had with u..it was a few hours before you went to be with the lord. Was really looking forward to seeing you as Prof and I had planned. You talked about making it up to me for missing my birthday....if only!!

Since Saturday I keep asking myself- Is it really true?? I had known about you for so long but really got to know you in the last 1-2 years yet it seems like an eternity.

Your counsel and constructive criticisms will be greatly missed. I'm also going to miss typing your term papers [and harassing you about late submission] and also you trying to educate me on 'ecclesiastical law'. There was never a dull moment with you and you treated everyone with candor and fairness.

To say the least - I'm missing you already but Rest in Peace 'me lord'....your memory will longggggggg linger in my heart- Your Dear Dolapo[ as u wld often call me].
For the family and loved ones- I know God will hide you under the shadow of his wings and cover and comfort you in a way no man can.

My brother and my friend

A gentleman to the core.
A humble, understanding and peace-loving man.
THE UNIFYING FACTOR-Everyone gravitated towards you because they knew they could always count on you to be there for them, and if necessary ‘to open doors’.
After one of those auspicious moments in your life that I was absent, you came to look for me and told me in very clear terms that the only thing that you had which was more than what I had, are rags. What better way was there for you to express your love?
You would travel half way round the world to be with me even if it was only for two or three days.
You and I could talk for hours on anything and everything. That was why on the morning of June 2, 2008 when I came to say goodbye to you, and you said “Okay Sade, we will talk” I did not have any doubt in my mind that we would talk indeed. Alas, that was the last thing you would ever say to me. So now, how and when are we going to continue this conversation? You have left me at a time when I was hoping that we would have all the time in the world to talk.
Thank you for a beautiful life lived to the glory of God, service and compassion to all who came your way.
I will miss you, I will miss you, my brother.
I have no doubt that you are now one of the angels in the presence of God, for you knew the God that you served.
Brother, Rest in Perfect Peace.
